Aaron Espinoza plays Elliott Smith benefit show-Los Angeles

August 7, 2013 - no comments.

Aaron Espinoza was invited to perform at Elliott Smith’s No Name benefit show last night at Largo in Los Angeles. He was asked to play 2 Elliott songs and a cover E would like. Aaron chose Elliott’s Waltz 2 and Punch and Judy, and then surprised us all with a cover of Grandaddy’s He’s Simple, He’s Dumb, He’s the Pilot. Needless to say, not a dry eye in the house.

No Name #1 is a concert series created by family and friends to celebrate the life and music of Elliott Smith. All proceeds went to local charities in Portland, Los Angeles, Austin, and NYC.

The Los Angeles No Name #1 event took place on August 6th, which would have been Elliott’s 44th Birthday.
